Madame Montague et monsieur Capulet, voisins dans un quartier résidentiel, se détestent cordialement. Il en va de même pour leurs nains de jardin respectifs, les bleus de la première et les rouges du second. Chaque clan vit dans la haine et le mépris sans fin de l'autre. Régulièrement, ils s'affrontent lors de courses de tondeuses à gazon. Un soir, Juliette, une rouge, croise le chemin de Gnoméo, un bleu. Le coup de foudre entre eux est immédiat. Mais ces deux tourtereaux, que tout sépare, vont avoir beaucoup de mal à vivre sereinement leur amour naissant.
